1040EZ Form - Lines 12a or 13

To determine if you need to pay additional taxes or receive a return, subtract the value on Line 10,your total payments, from the value on Line 11, your tax. If the number is positive enter the value in line 12a as you should receive a refund. If the number is negative enter the value in line 13 as you owe additional tax. You must pay additional tax owed when filing your return. To avoid having to pay additional tax in future years fill out another W-4 with your employer claiming fewer exemptions
